This course is about Civil Design for a Land Development site using 12d Model. We have chosen a project called “Wattle Park Land Development”.
You will download and open this existing project using a full working copy of 12d Model, and complete the design at your own pace, with video lessons showing design techniques.
The course describes the workflows required to create road design models in a typical land development site. You will learn how to create and modify the Road Design models using the “Apply MTF” function.
Road design in 12d Model uses three design inputs, and the “Apply MTF” function brings these together to create the design.
The three components are combined using the “Apply MTF’ Function, and cross sections and strings are created.
The course focuses on the use of the ‘MTF’ file and ‘Apply MTF’ function.
We provide a triangulated survey, a template in created by inputting a pre-defined template file from your working folder, and the Super Alignments with horizontal and vertical geometry that you will use in the course will be created by loading in a 12daz file that contains the data you require.
We describe the setup of the ‘Apply MTF’ function, and cover the basic and advanced parts of this function, including the creations of batter ticks, a triangulation of the design.
The course covers export of your road design model to CAD and the workflow to create plotted Longitudinal and Cross Sections of the design.
