A Starter Course for Stormwater Drainage This is a Quick Start course which will teach you the basics of creating a network of nodes and links (pits and pipes) in 12d Model. Other courses teach more advanced Geometric Design, and Analysis/Design of the Network. The topics covered in this course are:
- Network Creation using the“Quick Water Network” tool
- Enhance your Network using the “Network Editor”
- Manually edit nodes
- Position your Nodes/Pits exactly there you want them with the “Adjust Node Location” tool
- Create a Water Plan Plot showing all the information you require on your drawings and export to a CAD file
- Generate a Water Longitudinal Section Plot with all of the information you need and export to a CAD file
- Export your Network to IFC and review the Network in your favourite BIM Federation tool
This is a Fundamentals course that shows you the tools used for Stormwater Drainage Geometric Design. Our other Stormwater Drainage Courses will expand on these Fundamentals skills.
