12d Model Stormwater Drainage – Advanced Geometric Modelling

The second part of our Course about the Geometric Design of a Stormwater Drainage Network
This continues the work done in Course 311 and will teach you the more advanced tools and options used to model your Stormwater Drainage Network. It is intended that this course is done after completing 311.
The topics covered in this course are::
  • Accurately position nodes and links:  Adjust Node Locations to the exact position you require relative to the road kerb. Adjust where the pipe enters the node.  Model Risers for your nodes.  Understanding these tools is vital for clash detection and Digital Engineering.
  • Check for clashes between your Stormwater Network and other Utility Services.
Use tools in the Water Network Editor to adjust your Network to provide clearance to other services.
  • Create Plan and Long Section plots using the plot parameter files that come with 12d Model.
  • Learn to use the Attributes that are present on the Water Network.
Plot attribute values to plans and long sections.
Export attributes to spreadsheet to create your own custom reports.
  • Design a trapezoidal channel for the final link in your Network.
  • Export an IFC file of your Network for use in the Federated Digital Engineering Model.

EXDS has other courses in development that will teach you about Hydraulic Analysis and Design of the Network.
